There are three round pans, each about 26.7 cm (10.5 in) across and 3 cm deep, made from carbon steel with a non-stick coating. A stepped raised centre inside each pan forms the hollow while the cake bakes, so you do not need to cut or scoop out sponge.

Fill the shells with fruit, cream, custard or mousse, stack them for a layered dessert, or bake three filled cakes at once for a gathering.
