It is made of light aluminium in silver, with deep, rounded bowl-shaped sides. The bowl shape gives dome cakes and puddings a smooth, rounded finish. Aluminium is light to lift in and out of the oven, even when the pan is full, and the plain silver finish lets you see the bake colour as it browns.
